Rose City Cemetery & Funeral Home on N.E. Fremont Street is located mid-way between Portland International Airport and downtown. The funeral home is close to Freeways 205 and 84 and within 30 miles of two other cemeteries. Local landmarks are Amalfi's Restaurant and Pip's Original Doughnuts & Chai cafe.
The spacious facility greets visitors with a colorful mural and ample parking spaces. Mature parkland provides peaceful surroundings and privacy before funeral service begins. A bright and modern chapel accommodates approximately 100 guests. Several comfortable, tasteful seating areas and a visitation room offer dignified retreats for gatherings.
Rose City Cemetery & Funeral Home was founded in 1906, and has served families in Portland and surrounding areas with professional care and compassion for 110 years. Funeral directors are local people who are on call 24 hours a day. Staff consists of general manager Jon Ollerenshaw, cemetery manager Michael Nelson, funeral directors Joel Heinzen, Lauren Rasmussen, Dan Hilton and Dan Silva, advanced planning specialist Nick B Olsen and a small army of grounds-keeping enthusiasts.
Both direct cremation and burial are provided, as well as green burials, pre-planning and cemetery counseling, personalized traditional burial and cremation with memorial services.
