From their welcoming brown-brick and white stucco facility the Williamson family has provided families with a caring and professional funeral service ever since founder Lamar Williamson moved the business from its original location on North 7th Street to its present location in 1960. The spacious chapel and visitation area can accommodate any size of funeral gathering, large or small.
Lamar founded his funeral firm in 1950, soon expanding to own and operate three funeral homes serving African-Americans in Milwaukee. Today, the business is owned and operated by a new generation of Williamson family members: owner and president Leon L. Williamson and chief financial officer Mary Williamson. Funeral director Cassandra A. Winters and a small staff of funeral assistants provide additional support.
Personalized funeral service includes direct cremation and burial, cremation with memorial services, and traditional burial with chapel, church, or graveside services.
