The Southside Chapel is one of five locations in Virginia and serves from a white stone building on Greenwich Road. Within the facility, families have access to a 275-person chapel.
It was James P. Altmeyer that originally founded Altmeyer Funeral Homes. To this day, the business remains in the Altmeyer family, with James E. Altmeyer, Jr. serving as president of the company.
