Earthman Hunters Creek Funeral Home is located at 8303 Katy Freeway, close to Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart and within two miles of the nearest cemetery. The funeral home serves the Metro Houston community and is also within 30 miles of several other cemeteries.

From their spacious red-brick facility funeral directors and staff provide families with a comprehensive, caring service that includes traditional burial and cremation, direct burial and direct cremation without ceremonies. The chapel accommodates approximately 100 guests in comfort and well-appointed viewing and visitation areas provide quiet spaces for private family moments.

The funeral home is part of Dignity Memorial® network of more than 2,000 funeral home, cremation and cemetery service providers. The family-owned Earthman Hunters Creek Funeral Home is proud to have provided Houston with services since 1889. The business was founded by James Bradshaw Earthman Snr, who first opened up “shop” at 715 Main Street, before moving the business to 2420 Fannin St. in 1924. When that facility became too small, the business moved to its present location.

Today, third and fourth generation Earthmans are carrying on the business, offering also veteran burials and catered receptions as part of their overall funeral service.

I really want to give this place 3-stars because saying "Yay! I'm a fan" of a funeral home isn't exactly easy. I mean, who wants to say they are a fan of a funeral home? But I can't deny that they really helped us out when we needed it. With a death in the family we found ourselves discussing matters with a director here. We've never done this before and were totally confused. The director we worked with here, Kim, was very nice and helped to explain options. That's the first big plus. The next big plus is that the company itself has many packages to help you deal with this. They give you a package that will help you hold receipts and tax information. They do a lot of the leg-work for anything else you need such as communicating with the life insurance company, with the VA if you are going to bury at a national cemetery, or even helping to put notices on the deceased's credit transactions to help prevent fraud. I think these things are probably the most important since one might not think of them while grieving. This is a review that nobody wants to do obviously, but death is part of life. We just really appreciated their help because we surely needed it!
