Bill Clair Family Mortuary is easily reached via I-45, taking US Highway 59/Texas Route 288 and exiting south onto Route 288, proceeding to the exit for South Freeway Access Road. From there, it is a short drive to Southmore Boulevard, which sits about ¼ mile up the boulevard on the right hand side of the street. The funeral home serves the south-central Houston community and is within a 30-mile radius of several cemeteries. The nearest landmark is Houston Museum of Science.
The imposing red-brick building with its bright blue canopy over the entrance is set in beautiful landscaped grounds. The spacious, bright and welcoming Southmore Chapel seats ca. 125 guests; viewing and visitation rooms are comfortable and family-friendly, ideal for private moments before funeral service commences.
No direct burial, but direct cremation is offered alongside traditional burial and cremation services. Funeral director Charlotte Bill and husband Michael, who serves as mortician, are supported by a small, dedicated team of professionals.
Overall funeral service includes making arrangements for transfers of human remains, when a death occurs outside the state boundary.
