“ This funeral home is a blessing. My family member was a big girl. They were able to make her viewable after an autopsy and ship her to me. After shopping around for prices they were the best price with the best customer service and follow through. Would recommend them highly. ”
“ Worst experience I have ever had dealing with a Funeral Home. Its a horrible business. If I didn't know better I'd swear it was run by a bunch of money grubbing Yankee Carpetbaggers, Scallywaggers, and Money changers. Never do business here. ”
“ I cannot express how disappointed and disgusted I, the entire family, and our friends are with the services provided by James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Our family recently lost a precious member. We wanted her to be buried in KY. James A. Dyal Funeral Home was contacted to pick up Katie's body from the medical center and take her to their funeral home where they would embalm her. Arrangements were made for a person from our local funeral home in KY to pick her up the following day and transport her to KY. The family received a bill for $4228. $200 Embalming $12.00 Certified Copy of Death Certificate $21.00 Additional Copies of Death Certificate $3,995.00 Professional Services Exactly what did these professional services entail? Just to clarify, the only services this funeral home performed were locally transporting Katie to their facility and embalming her. They supplied no clothes, flowers, cards, casket, vault, TV/radio announcements, preachers, chapel for services, nor transport to Ky. For a business to stoop this low to resort to such unbelievable astronomical price gouging at a time when a family is under such grief is beyond reprehensible. I can not even imagine a more utter display of disrespect to not only our family but to just simple human decency. To be clear, this is not about money. In all honesty, the only thing our family asked for was a breakdown of what the $4,000 charge included but so far no one at James A. Dyal Funeral Home is willing to provide this information. In closing, in a time when compassion and professionalism should be at the forefront, James A. Dyal Funeral Home managed to deliver the exact opposite. It's clear that they prioritize profit over people. Our family deserved better, and no one should have to endure the nightmare that we experienced with this funeral home.
