Established in 1901, Roseburg Undertaking Co. was on the corner of Oak and Kane. The funeral home was owned by the M.E. Ritter Family. The name was later changed to Chapel of the Roses and in 1963, Mr. M. Wilson purchased property on Harvard Avenue and started building. Wilson's Chapel of the Roses was moved to the new location in 1964 and has been serving the community there ever since.

My neighbors loving wife just passed away. When he arrived at this funeral home. The Manager was extremely unprofessional. He showed no compassion at all. Was very arrogant and and as rude as you can get. My neighbor had just lost his wife after many many years together. Who does this !!!! The when the husband asked when his wife would be cremated. The Managers response was I dont know. Because we cremate the FAT PEOPLE FIRST !!!! This Manager needs to be FIRED !!! Shame on CHAPEL OF THE ROSES and the Manager for letting this happen ! My mom is also suppose to have her funeral there when she goes. And it's already been paid for years ago. Now I am scared to death to put my family through this disgusting rude treatment when the time comes. If you use the funeral home ? All I can say is...God be with you !! 🙏
