Hustad Funeral Home on N. Richmond Avenue is situated in the heart of St. Johns, conveniently close to Portland International Airport and within a short drive of Skyline Memorial Gardens and one other cemetery. Sitting on the edge of Forest Park, the funeral home serves families in North Portland.
A series of cream-colored buildings that stand out due to their red-brown pan-tiled roofs houses a spacious chapel with seating for 150 guests and small family and viewing rooms that are furnished with beautiful antiques, making the facility feel more like a private home.
Family-owned and operated, the funeral home was founded in 1958 by husband and wife Joseph and Rose Hustad, who were later joined by their sons, Joseph O. Hustad, Jr. and John Hustad. Managing Director, and now owner, Scott Logan joined the family business in 2010 and is supported by funeral director Tony Gray, when providing a caring, professional service to local families.
Although they do not provide direct burial, the funeral home can arrange direct cremation or personalized yet traditional burial and cremation with memorial services. Another room, seating approximately 25 guest, serves as modern, comfortable event space for catered receptions.
