Rutherford Funeral Home has a long history in Columbus, as it dates back to 1923. Originally, the business was called P.E. Undertaking Co. and was set on the corner of High Street and Franklin Avenue, yet in 1925 it moved to the current High Street location. This became the first of four funeral homes under the Rutherford umbrella.
This funeral and cremation business was founded by Perry E. and Ruth Rutherford and was later operated by their son until his death. Rutherford Funeral Home's employees continue to serve the community on the founders' principals of building a trusting relationship with each client.
Customers of Rutherford Funeral Home have many options for their loved ones, including direct cremation, cremation, traditional burial ceremonies and full funeral services.
