French Funerals & Cremations - Westside chapel is situated 15 miles northwest of downtown Albuquerque, NM near Desert Greens Golf Course. Customers from all over New Mexico have easy access to this facility, as Interstates 25 and 40 are nearby. Mount Calvary Cemetery is one of the closest burial grounds, at 10 miles from the business.
Established over a century ago, French Funerals & Cremations dates back to 1907 and is the oldest family owned and operated funeral home in Albuquerque. The mortuary started in a cozy building on Fifth Street and has grown to include a total of five locations. The Westside branch is set in a tan and white Spanish-inspired structure. Abundant parking, including handicap parking by the door, is available to customers.
Three generations of the French family have owned and operated the franchise of funeral homes, with Chester T. French being the original owner. Now, his grandsons, Chester and Robert, act as owners and funeral directors.
From simple direct cremations to complex customized funeral services, there is an option for every family at French Funerals & Cremations. There are packages available for both burials and cremations, as well as specialized services, including pet ceremonies, ash scatterings and more.
