As one of nearly 20 branches under the Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapels name, Northeast Chapel is housed in a traditional brick building, which is surrounded by white columns. Over the past 150 years, the owners have perfected the funeral home setup; this is evident in the Northeast location’s large viewing rooms and spacious chapel.
From a one-man business under William P. Washburn in 1857 to an uncle-nephew duo - William Washburn and Donald McReavy - in 1931, Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapels has been passed through the same family since its founding. Now, the third generation of the McReavy family own and operate the chain’s various facilities.
Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapels offer funeral service packages to suit the needs of each family. Pre-planning services are available to those that wish to secure their burial or cremation desires ahead of time. Offerings range from simple direct cremations to funeral services complete with hearse and family car transportation.
