As the first funeral home and cremation facility in Minneapolis with off-street parking, Billman-Hunt Funeral Chapel was incorporated in 1954. The Billman family and Roy F. Hunt worked together to establish Billman-Hunt Funeral Chapel. Roy’s sons, Richard and John, took over operations later on, and now the third generation of the Hunt family acts as directors in the family business.

“ Having been in the funeral industry, I am appalled at the behavior I witnessed by a Jeffrey. I have attended two funerals in the past month at this chapel. The first time, I figured the guy was having a bad day (you never know what people are going through), and the second time, a group of us left disgusted by his behavior. If someone hates their job so much that they are rude, condescending, physically aggressive, and intimidating, find another career outside of dealing with grieving families and friends. The appalling behavior included yelling at a grieving mother while she was crying about the loss of her child and telling her to sit down (she is not your child), getting physically involved pulling another mother down the aisle away from her deceased baby (thankfully family stepped in and had him step away), stopping a eulogy to tell someone to move their car (parked in the street and not in his way), and using aggressive tones with visitors (get out of the aisle!). It is likely time to step away from the business, study cultural intelligence, understand the grieving process, and treat people with kindness. When I returned to my office to call the organization's owner, I was further appalled that he was an owner. Consumers must know that they will get a good dollar value for the service, but if he is involved, you and your guests may be treated in a subhuman and disgusting manner. We grieve for those treated like caged animals before, during, and after funerals by Jeffrey. ”
“ Professional, knowledgeable, down to earth people. Death is hard, the planning process shouldn't have to be. Billman-Hunt made the process a breeze and lifted the stress of it all. Highly recommended for people of color. ”
“ Thank you so very much without your help I wouldn't have been able to give my grandma a wonderful going home celebration... ”
“ My sisters and I had the privilege to work with Rob Hunt Jr. in making arrangements for our brother who passed away recently. He totally put our family at ease, couldn’t have been more caring. I would definitely use him to help for my own pre arrangement. Thank you. ”
