Wylie Funeral Home PA is situated on N. Mount Street, from where the funeral home has served the metropolitan area and Baltimore County's communities since 1993. Located 5 minutes from downtown and within 2 miles of Interstates 95 and 295, the facility is also within a 25-mile radius of several cemeteries.
Designed like an Art Deco palace in cream, gold and red, the chapel has a capacity for 250 guests; an elegant visitation area and lounge provide families with privacy and comfort before funeral services begin.
Founded by Albert P. Wylie, the president, the family-owned and operated business employs a large team of dedicated, professional staff; this is one of two facilities managed by Mr. Wylie, Vice President Brandon M. Wylie, Charleen G. Wylie and Ericka G. Wylie-Chambers. Their second facility is in Baltimore County's Randallstown.
Burial with graveside service is an option for families who prefer not to hold funeral service at the chapel or at a church. Direct cremation and cremation with memorial service are also available. Signature services include a complimentary harp soloist playing during the visitation period, an in-house print shop producing custom programs and register books as keepsakes, DVD tributes and memory cards.
