The funeral and cremation business is housed in a two-toned brick and stone building on South Preston Street. Originally, Rodgers-Awkard & Lyons Funeral Home was owned and operated by John McQuany and John Rodgers. John Rodgers' wife took over after his passing in 1950, and the business was sold once she died in 1980. Throughout its history, this business has always endeavored to provide affordable service to each customer.
