E.M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home has been serving Southern Indiana for over 150 years, as it was established in 1860. Since its founding, the funeral home has held three locations in Jeffersonville, with the current location on West Maple Street serving the community for the better part of a century. This facility houses two spacious, renovated chapels; comfortable seating areas and off-street parking.
Hailing from Kentucky, Edwin M. Coots founded E.M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home to continue his father’s legacy. Upon his death, Edwin left the business to his two sons, and it has passed through the Coots family since. The fifth generation now owns and operates the business.
A pioneer in the funeral industry, E.M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home has offered free pre-planning services since the early 1900s. Clients have the opportunity to pre-fund their funeral services, burials, cremation ceremonies and direct cremations, as well.
