“ I was very disappointed with Aycock Funeral Home My father passed away on September 17, 2020. I spoke with Glenn on September 18 and we discussed his cremation and that we were going to have his ashes mailed to Chalreston SC for his funeral on October 3. Never did he mention that this would be a problem. On Wednesday before the funeral I was advised by the Memorial Gardens in Charleston that his ashes had not arrived. I called Aycock funeral home and again spoke with Glenn to find out that his body had just been cremated that day and his ashes were being sent certified mail. He guaranteed me they would arrive by Saturday. Friday came and no ashes yet. I called Glenn for a 3rd time and he said he had been in contact with the post office and assured me that the ashes would be delivered to the cemetery on Saturday before the funeral at 11:00. Needless to say this did not happen. The ashes did not arrive until Monday Morning, October 5. This time is stressful enough not to have added this extra stress. We had people who flew and drove to SC from Tennessee and could not reschedule at the last minute so we had a service without any ashes. Very disappointed in Aycock services. I call Laura Barbone, the manager Friday before the funeral and again on Saturday. She finally called me back on October 6 and said they were going to do something to make this right and never heard from her again. This funeral home does not do what they say they are going to do and I would not recommend them to anyone!! Horrible experience!! ”
