El Camino Memorial-Imperial and Cypress View Mausoleum on Imperial Avenue and 40th Street serves mainly families in San Diego's south-east, but the facility also arranges funeral service for the remainder of San Diego County.
Adjacent to Mount Hope and Greenwood cemeteries, the funeral home comprises of a collection of attractive buildings constructed in beige and brown brickwork. A welcoming, bright chapel accommodates approximately 200 guests. Comfortable, home-like family rooms provide privacy and a spacious room with tables and chairs seating up to 25 people is ideal for intimate catered funeral receptions. A marble-clad mausoleum in hues of pink, brown and beige and lovely gardens offer some of the most beautiful final resting places in the County.
Apart from direct cremation the facility also provides personalized burial with graveside and cremation with memorial services. El Camino Memorial includes six mortuaries, one cemetery and a crematory. Founded over 70 years ago, the firm is now part of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers.
Unique aspects include one of the largest private art collections in California being housed in the mausoleum, which contains more than 500 classic pieces of marble and bronze statuary, antique furnishings and etchings.
