Suminski -Weiss Funeral Home on North Farwell Avenue in Milwaukee's Lower East Side is situated just across from Milwaukee Power Yoga and within a 30-mile drive of several cemeteries. The funeral home serves Lower East Side's diverse communities and those of metropolitan Milwaukee.
From their spacious brown-brick facility with its white mock columns the Suminski family have served the community for over 100 years. Funeral service options include direct cremation, cremation with memorial service and burial with chapel, church or graveside services. The facility contains a spacious visitation/viewing area and family lounge that provide comfort and privacy for families and their guests.
Privately owned and operated by the Suminski family, the business was founded in 1896 by John I. Suminski, who established John I Suminski Sons Funeral Home on Brady Street. The business has been passed down from parents to children for more than a century. Today, the facility is run by owner/president Edward Suminski, co-owner/funeral director Ron Suminski and co-owner/office manager Patricia Suminski.
The family owns and operates two funeral home locations. A second facility is located on 2486 S. Kinnickinnic Avenue, just a short distance from Milwaukee Public Library Bay View Branch.
