Brett Funeral Home Inc. is situated on West Wisconsin Avenue in Milwaukee, easily accessible via I-43 and 94 and downtown. The funeral home is directly across the street from the historic Captain Frederick Pabst Mansion and just one block west of Marquette University Dental School. The funeral home serves communities in metropolitan Milwaukee and is within a 30-mile drive of three cemeteries.
Parking can be found on the west side of the elegant brown-brick facility. Designed in neo-classical style, the building boasts an imposing white portico and spacious chapel that accommodates any size of funeral gathering, large or small.
Founded in 1885 by TJ Brett, the funeral home was originally located on South 3rd Street near National Avenue in the Walker's Point area of south Milwaukee. In 1902, the funeral home moved to its present location, but the facility was rebuilt in 1942 to create better amenities and more space. Today, the funeral home is owned and operated by James N. Witkowiak, who also owns and manages the Witkowiak Funeral Home on Milwaukee's south side.
