Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery & Funeral Home lies to the south-east of the city center and serves families living in Salt Lake Valley. The funeral home owns and operates two beautiful cemeteries in the Valley, providing a variety of funeral service options.
Six generations of Larkin family members are responsible for creating four locations simply brimming with serenity and beauty. Larkin Mortuary is situated downtown in the historic Hagenbarth mansion, which occupies the corner of 300 East and South Temple Streets.
The Larkins purchased the building in 1925 and it still retains its distinctly European Art Deco style today, boasting a gorgeous mixture of Tiffany-style stained-glass windows, original woodwork and fixtures. The mansion contains a large and small chapel, various comfortable viewing and seating areas and is surrounded by beautiful gardens.
Larkin Sunset Lawn occupies a 12 acre-site on the eastern side of Salt Lake City at 2350 East and 1300 South, where a chapel, several viewing rooms, an indoor mausoleum and state-of-the-art cremation center allow families to select a funeral service that is just right for their needs. This includes direct burial, direct cremation and traditional burial and cremation with memorial services.
