Restland Funeral Home was built in 1957, and a 30,000-square-foot, full-service facility, capable of assisting families both locally and throughout the world. The funeral home includes 22 staterooms and a 250-seat chapel.

Restland Cemetery was founded in 1925. In 1935, George Young was named general manager. Six years later, he acquired full ownership of the cemetery. He developed Restland as a beautifully landscaped park with the utilization of in-ground memorial markers. Restland Memorial Park has had over 125,000 interments/entombments and has over 300,000 property owners.

Restland Cemetery contains in excess of 375 acres, with additional acreage available for future expansion. The park features include Wildwood Chapel, the Abbey Mausoleum and Chapel, and the Chapel Gardens Mausoleum. Special sections have been developed for veterans, babies and various religions. The magnificent Whispering Waters includes a mausoleum and garden located on the southwest corner of the cemetery. At Restland Cemetery, we offer many types of unique and personalized options to commemorate the lives of loved ones and to help ensure that legacies will endure for generations to come. Whether your preference is in-ground interment, mausoleum entombment or a memorial choice specific to cremation, we have selections ranging in price and style to accommodate your needs.

We were having a friend buried here next to her husband. No services of any kind, cost just under $11,000.00. A lot of double talk, too jack up the cost. I would give them a -0 rating.

Do not bury your loved ones here! And is disgusting they take your money and they do not keep the plots up. When your family tries to visit where you are you will never find them because their graves will be overgrown with grass. Totally disgusting Cemetery. This was started by George Young and his family they sold it and made Millions. Now it's just a s*** hole of a cemetery.

My recent experience with Restland was mixed and very frustrating. We were supposed to get a “post care” follow-up meeting to review our experience with them directly, but that never happened so hence this review. My parents made pre-arrangements years ago in the 70’s and my father is already buried there we were locked in. I have to say this experience so different and painful compared to my Father's 8 years ago. The cemetery grounds are beautiful and well kept. The facilities are fine and the funeral service went smoothly. My Mother looked natural and she was well prepared and treated with respect. No issues in moving her from Colorado. My Mother’s personal wishes were executed without a problem. Logistically this was extremely frustrating end to end. M parents bought this before computers, but proper record keeping and storage is on THEM not us. On our first call they said there was no contract. When we produced the 50 year old copy of the contract the story changed to it had been “canceled by the family”. We demanded signed proof of any cancelation and like magic they found the contract was valid. From there; multiple meetings were missed, calls not returned, emails would go ignored, heated calls with management, etc. Fees just magically popped up and were added to the contract. For example we were not told there were significant extra charges for a weekend service until after thins were planned. We were directed to use their in house florist. The justification was that if we went through them it would all be on one contract. Using them the casket spray was $500 VS. $250 using the florist they had linked ON THERE OWN PAGE. This is just taking advantage of people. There are two sides of the Restland operations: Cemetery and Funeral. They can run their operations however they like, but why is that exposed to me as the consumer? They were extremely good at saying “I apologize” but when you have heard it for the 50th time it comes off as lip service.

I’m a 72 year old retired business owner. I my employees that “there is never a 2nd chance at a 1st impression”. I told them that “I’m not taking money out of my pocket to make their paychecks. The money for paychecks comes from the customers. Always take care of customers so we will have customers and money for paychecks.” Restland management needs to emphasize this to their employees. I went online and ended up “chatting” with a Restland employee. I needed information about how to post pictures on the obituary page. The person I “chatted” with asked for my phone number and e-mail address. I was then told that someone will contact me with the information. Soon after that I received an automatic e-mail saying “If this is an urgent matter call (469) 925-1436. Otherwise, someone will contact you shortly”. I was never contacted. Two days later I called the number and spoke with a girl that had no clue what she was doing. She said that I should just search the Restland site to find what I want there. In addition, the online funeral service was a disaster. The day of the funeral I was able to log in get access to the online service. The video was not too bad, but the audio was just horrible. The only thing we could hear was loud static. It was a total frustration not to be able to hear what was said about my sister. My wife and I tried it on different computers and iPhones with no luck. I called a friend and he was experiencing the same thing. Here’s the link so you can see and hear what I’m talking about. http://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/53419/hash:87FE33612224B184 My parents have both been buried at Restland for years. My sister is now buried there also. My mothers’ funeral service and burial in 1998 and then my fathers in 2002 were both professionally handled with no problems. My sisters’ services were pretty much the opposite though. Consequently, I will not be buried at Restland when my time comes. Another customer lost and therefore less money for your paychecks.

The management at Restland is absolutely horrid. We were not treated with any amount of dignity, we were over charged in every category, we did not receive flowers that were sent to the funeral home from 3 different people. When my mother passed I was contacted that night and told the first available appointment to make arrangements would be 10 days after her death. While waiting for the opportunity to make arrangements we witnessed many individuals that had passed after my mother but had their services before my mothers. We were guaranteed a time and chapel only to find out that the time and chapel had been given to someone else's family. I have tried since February 26th to discuss the mishaps of my mothers arrangements with members of the management only to be ignored. If you have any options at all do NOT chose Restland to lay your loved ones to rest.

I want everyone to know. This place is horrible. Do not go with this place. We went to them when my husband's dad died and still we are being lied to. i have all the texts to prove it. Plus one of their employees told the funeral home in Delaware that things were not done when they were told to us that they were. We are going after this place. We actually were recommended to this place. Please don't go there. If there was no stars I would have chose that.
