Harrison's Memorial Chapel Inc. used to be located on Carnes Avenue, but when a fire devastated the original funeral home in 2013, the Harrision family decided to expand and move to larger premises west of Memphis International Airport. The new facility is located at 3320 Millbranch Road, Memphis TN 38116, close to Freeway 55 and within a 30-mile radius of two cemeteries.
The eye-catching beige stucco and red-brick building contains two chapels, each able to accommodate approximately 100 guests. There are also a children's room with toys and cot, several comfortable family rooms, visitation and viewing areas that provide comfort and privacy for families before and after funeral service.
The Harrison family business has served the wider Memphis community for more than 93 years, offering direct cremation and direct burial as well as traditional graveside services and cremation with ceremony, green burial options and veterans services.
The facility also contains a full service dining reception center with in-house catering. Part of the Harrison's tradition is a distinct white glove service, and during funerals and visitations complimentary beverage and canapes are being served. All faiths, denominations, cultures and nationalities are welcome.
