“ It's taken me a while to write this review but after much thought and a little more experience with people passing away in the family, I thought this is the right time. The things I liked about Burton's was how nice the inside was, very clean and well decorated. The employees were very professional looking and being able to have the funeral service at the same location was a plus. The things I didn't like was the feeling of being rushed through the whole process. We were rushed from the time we stepped into the building for the viewing, till the time we loaded the flowers into our cars from the curb outside the building where they were placed. Some of the staff seemed short and abrupt during one of the worst times in our lives. After losing both my parents since this death and dealing with a different funeral home for their showings, I have something to compare Burton's too. Flowers should be dropped of at our home after the funeral, not left on the curb. We had to bother numerous people asking them to bring some of the arrangement to our house. We were never rushed or made to feel like we were being pushed out the door at the other establishment during these two most recent deaths. They gave us an hour before the viewing to spend with our family member before visitation, not the 15 minutes we were allotted at Burton's. Cards that were left for the family at the funeral were not opened and the money was not taken out for the cost of the funeral, like it was at Burton's. Maybe that's the difference in having prearrangement's made but it should not be legal to open envelopes that were not addressed to your establishment. Would I ever hire Burton's again, sorry I would not. ”
