Riverview Abbey Funeral Home, Mausoleum & Crematorium is situated in a beautiful park-like setting on S.W. Taylors Ferry Road, just west of the lovely Willamette River, close to Freeways 405 and 5; two cemeteries are within a few miles of the funeral home. The facility serves the Sellwood-Moreland and metropolitan Portland communities.
Founded just over 100 years ago in 1916, the beautiful funeral home and stunning marble-adorned mausoleum offer dignified surroundings for funeral gatherings. A comfortable visitation room accommodates any type or size of memorial service or simple ceremony. Both direct cremation and burial, as well as traditional burial with graveside services and cremation with ceremony, veterans services, full-catering and event planning services are offered.
Today the funeral home and mausoleum are staffed by funeral directors Richard Hedlund, Roger Sinnott, Bill Burns, Timothy Proctor and counselor Greg Brown, who are celebrating the facility's 100th anniversary this year.
As a full-service funeral home the team also provide caskets, cremation option caskets, alternative containers, keepsake and unique urns, transfer containers and burial garments, veteran memorial items and cremation jewelry.
