River View Cemetery Funeral Home on S.W. Macadam Avenue is located just off Freeway 5, at the west end of the Sellwood Bridge within approximately 20 miles of two other cemeteries. The historic funeral home serves families in the Portland area and is a local landmark.
Surrounded by beautiful parkland, the brown brick building welcomes guests with a Georgian facade and graceful white stucco portico and green window shutters. Inside a modern, bright chapel seats roughly 120 guests comfortably. Reception and hospitality rooms are furnished in elegant country house style, offering both comfort and privacy.
River View Cemetery was established in 1882 by leading pioneer Portland families, and is Portland's oldest, not-for-profit endowment care cemetery. Today, a Board of Directors, reporting to a Board of Trustees, is in charge of day-to-day management of both funeral home and cemetery.
