Finley's Sunset Hills Mortuary and Sunset Hills Memorial Park on S.W. Sunset Highway are conveniently located between Beaverton and Portland's downtown, near Freeways 5 and 405 and within ca. 30 miles of three other cemeteries. The funeral home, beautiful cemetery and gardens are local landmarks.
Sitting in lovely parkland with the lovely Fountain of Remembrance at its heart, the mortuary, mausoleum and cemetery offer Portland-area families the finest in funeral service. The mortuary is an attractive white building with 21,150 square ft. that contains a chapel able to accommodate approximately 100 people, three comfortable visitation rooms, three arrangement/conference rooms and elegant reception facility.
The funeral home was established by J.P. Finley in 1892, who also founded Sunset Hills Memorial Park in 1936. By 1949, Finley Mortuary, originally located in downtown Portland, had joined with the Memorial Park and a second mortuary was constructed on the grounds of Sunset Hills in 1965. In 1979, Finley-Sunset Hills became the sole Finley mortuary. Today the Finley Family's facility is part of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers.
Overall funeral services include direct cremation, traditional burial with graveside and cremation with memorial services and lawn crypts.
