When I found out my son Jacob had passed,
It was two days later. He had lost his wallet and his phone. He was out of town when this happened. It wasn't in Port Huron. The hospital in Flint transported him to the examiner in Flint and they had identified him through fingerprints.
So I was devastated when I found out and had no idea where to start to care for him to be cremated.
I only lived in this area for 2 years at the time August 2023.
John and Ann were so helpful and so thoughtful and so caring and understanding. What they did for us and my son Jacob, It was like a mini funeral and he was in his hospital gown on a beautiful wood base in a beautiful wood trimmed parlor an flowers. I know it's a room that Jacob would have picked out himself. He loved wood, working with wood. So that made me feel better that I could see how he looked in the hospital because I wasn't there. I didn't know that he had passed. We were all searching for him for a couple days trying to get a hold of him and he was unconscious, couldn't talk in the ICU.
So them doing that for me, knowing all that, with that in mind. What they did, Gave me some comfort , knowing what he look like the hospital.
That's how thoughtful they are. And they we're there every step of the way handled everything, the paperwork, everything

When my daughter passed she lived out of state and I had another funeral home reach out to me and I was so numb and no clue how to make arrangements after a close family member referred pollock and Randall and I spoke with John and staff I knew immediately who would assist with the care for my daughter! They were so understanding, helpful, and explained every process to me from the flying her home to the receiving her back in there care, explaining the death certificate, her obituary, and going above and beyond with her grave sites and every detail I can’t THANK THEM ENOUGH for all there SINCERE SERVICE in all the steps of this terrible nightmare I was facing they made me feel I still had her while making arrangements in the last days of ever seeing her again! The understanding, and professionalism they all displayed during the worst days of my life they made this unexpected, unimaginable, emotional, time so unbelievably an easy process I still two months later thinking back can’t THANK ALL THE STAFF THERE ENOUGH! I know some reading this review might think this is what they should do, however after dealing with the first funeral home I talked about earlier in my review I just can’t express how Pollock and Randall exceeded the normal expectations that a family experiencing with losing my child! They did not treat me like a dollar sign they treated me and my child with the loving care we needed! They have reached and offered grief counseling something I would have never thought of! There compassion exceeds everything I can’t express if you need a funeral home for the care of your loved one you can TRUST Pollock and Randall to ensure you will have all the compassion and closure for you and your loved one! Forever grateful! Thank you to all the staff!!
