Burgee-Henss-Seitz Funeral Home is situated on Falls Road in the north-west of Baltimore. The funeral home serves communities in Hampden and greater Baltimore County area. The facility is within a 30-mile drive of several cemeteries.
Founded in 1899, the funeral home occupies a lovely historic house that greets funeral guests with a friendly white facade and immaculate lawns all around. A well-appointed home-like family lounge and visitation room provide comfort and privacy before funeral service begins. The spacious chapel seats up to 200 people.
Founded by Horace Burgee and his son, Horace F. Burgee, the funeral home began by providing funeral service to the Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore. After merging with A. Alan Seitz Funeral Home in 1999, the funeral home is today managed by Henss and Carpenter family members, who represent the fourth and fifth generations of the Burgee family. The business is now a proud member of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery providers.
Direct cremation, veterans services, traditional burial with graveside services, cremation with celebrant ceremony are all personalized to meet the family's needs. Arranging catered funeral receptions is also part of the overall funeral home service.
