My mother was 94 years old and passed the dignity stage of her life a couple of years before her death. She no longer knew us, but we knew how to make her laugh and she would beam when we came in to see her daily. When she died, at a nursing home in Nashville, Mr. Cone came down promptly and took her back home in Bowling Green. With all of us children, living out of town, we decided to have a Saturday morning funeral in the Presbyterian Church in Bowling Green. While my two siblings didn't feel like we needed to have a visitation the night before, I knew that I had friends who had made plans to come, as was the custom. We had a great visitation the night before the Saturday funeral and the funeral home was perfect to handle the large visitation that turned out. Everything was perfect and the Cone's were so hospitable. We couldn't ask for anything better.
