Shirley Brothers Mortuaries and Crematory has been serving the greater Indianapolis region for over a century, with its roots dating back to 1898. The first facility, called O.N. Shirley Funeral Home, was opened on East Washington Street. After several name changes, moves and acquisitions, the business now serves as Shirley Brothers Mortuaries from five locations in and around the city.
Ottie N. Shirley founded this funeral and cremation business, and first with the partnership with his brothers, then with his own son, this business has always been family owned and operated. Currently, the fourth generation of the Shirley family oversee the daily operations at the various branches of the mortuary.
Funeral services at Shirley Brothers Mortuaries and Crematory can be as simple or as elaborate as a family wishes. Burials, cremations and direct cremations are all offered through the facility, as are permanent memorialization options.
