Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services was opened in 1941 as Stirling Funeral Home. The business operates from a single location in Indianapolis, on Prospect Street. There is ample off-street parking available to guests, and the interior, including the chapel, is updated to serve modern funeral needs.
Robert and John Stirling founded this funeral and cremation business, and they owned and operated the facility until the late 1980s when it was sold to Rex Cowart. Renamed Fountain Square Mortuary, the business was again sold in 2012 to Christopher Cox, the present owner. Christopher also chose a new name to fit the community’s needs and vowed to serve at an affordable price.
Customers of Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services have the option of several burial and cremation packages. Cremation packages range from direct cremations to full funeral services and same-day cremation. Online planning and merchandise shopping is available.
