Lane-Moynihan Funeral & Cremation was founded in 1983; however, the business actually dates back to the 1880s, as the owner took over an existing funeral home. The Lane-Moynihan business partnered with Chicago's Central Chapel in 2010, an as such, there are now two locations under the company's umbrella. While not affiliated with the funeral home, Southtown Jewish Funerals is also owned by Robert Moynihan.
Robert "Bob" Moynihan founded Lane-Moynihan Funeral & Cremation with the hopes of giving every life meaning and to make funeral services more affordable. After learning from some of the best professionals in the funeral service business, he applied these principals to his own businesses.
This funeral home is a full-service facility that services both humans and pets. From burials, memorial services to direct cremations, Lane-Moynihan Funeral & Cremation has an appropriate option for every client. There is a grief support dog onsite, who helps families in times of need.
