Pollard Funeral Home is one of the longest existing businesses in the Summerhill area of Atlanta, GA. The funeral home is located less than 1/4 mile from Turner Field and 2 miles from the heart of downtown. With both Westview and Oakland Cemeteries within 4 miles, funeral services and following burials could not be more convenient.
This funeral home was established in 1932 and was originally located on Fraser Street. A fire destroyed this location, and the Urban Renewal Project took the second building. Finally, in 1964, Pollard Funeral Home moved to its current location. Though it was originally called Washington Avenue, the street has since been renamed as Pollard Boulevard in honor of Otis Pollard and his business.
Otis Pollard, Lester Hancock and E.A. Pollard began Pollard Funeral Home as a way to better serve the Summerhill community. The business passed to Bama Pollard and Bernard Moore at the time of his death. Mr. Moore continues the legacy of this business.
Standard burial and cremation offerings are available at Pollard Funeral Home, as is direct cremation. Clients have pre-planning resources available. With limousine transportation and aftercare services, there are plenty of options for the families.

Wow after reading one of the reviews I have respect and respond because I am a black man and from summerhill community thought I am not living in the summerhill community. Pollard have served many of my family members and Friends. With dignity respect great service and great people working there. Yes a new building or a modern building would be nice to see just remember that it's not about the building it's about the service that you receive beautiful building higher prices higher prices put families at a risk they are not able to afford to burial the way they want to give to the burial of their loved one Pollards has been there for many of the community as you look around Atlanta now days you don't see a lot of the older funeral homes still in service after many years of service from 1932 to 2022 Pollard is still in business taking care of the communities around Atlanta and Summer Hill when most people still cannot afford a high price service they work with you will help you before the service during the service and after the service.

You're not helping the community by ripping them off. The smell of your Funeral Home, packing up one room with a bunch of dead bodies.totaly looks like you are money hungry. I'm sure if this community of African Americans look around a little harder in their time of grief. They can find better. Your business needs to be investigated. Everyone should be treated with dignity and respect even the Dead.
