As one of the oldest African American-owned businesses in Atlanta, Cox Brothers Funeral Home was established in 1900. The business was originally located on Pryor Street, yet it moved to its current location at 380 Auburn Avenue in 1927. The 2-story painted brick building is now a historic landmark.
The original owners of Cox Brothers Funeral Home were Emily S. Cox and her two sons, Charles and Allen Cox. This funeral home is currently operated by Carlton Webb.
