For my own mental health, I had planned to let this go but since I have been bombarded daily by Dignity to provide a review, I’ll give them one. On October 16th my father was placed in Hospice, and I contacted Dignity (Bayview) about purchasing a funeral plan for my father (since he had purchased plots several years earlier). Three days later, and prior to my purchasing a package, my father died. Once I informed them my father had passed, I was contacted by two other employees of Dignity that introduced themselves as “At-Need”. They informed me that “Pre-Need” and “At-Need” are two separate companies. I would now be dealing with the “At-Need” company. The following day I signed their contract based on their Statement of Funeral Goods and Services. At the time I did notice that it was cheaper than the Statement of Funeral Goods and Services that had been provided to me by the “Pre-Need” company, but I assumed they had overestimated some of the cost (such as transporting the body from Orlando). For the next week I was in continual contact with Dignity’s “At-Need” personnel. On the 24th I received a document titled Interment Order and Authorization, with an invoice for $3,790, from the funeral home in Kissimmee, FL which had handled the transportation of my father (also a Dignity company). I immediately forwarded this to the “At-Need” employee at Bayview asking what this was for. That same day I received the reply, “Please disregard the email, you do not owe that balance, I have spoken to them!” The day of my father’s funeral and approximately 45 minutes prior to the graveside I was asked by an employee to sign some paperwork. This was the same “Pre-Need” employee that I talked to originally prior to my father’s passing. This “Pre-Need” employee now worked for the cemetery, which is a third company, under the same roof. She proceeds to drop a $4,085 bill for the cemetery services ... For the remaining review please google reviews.
