W.H. Bacon Funeral Home is located on 14th Street in the north-west of the city. The funeral home serves the metropolitan area of Washington D.C. and is within a 30-mile drive of several cemeteries.
From their small white and pink facility, the family-owned and operated business offers personalized funeral service that includes direct cremation, burial with graveside service and cremation with celebrant services that honor the memory and life of a loved one in accordance with the family's customs, faith and traditions. Direct burial is not available.
A well-appointed viewing/visitation area provides both privacy and comfort to families before and after funeral service. The funeral home is owned and operated by Wanda C. and Wendell Bacon, who are president and vice president respectively.
They are supported by funeral director and manager Patricia Rainey. Together they have served their community for many years, bringing dedication and compassion as well as a high degree of professionalism to every personalized funeral service they undertake.

****Extremely Disappointed**** As a business owner my self, I do not like writing reviews for petty things, but when an issue is not resolve with in a timing manner you have revolt to write a review and make people aware of a problem. My father past away January 2, 2021. We were not expecting or prepare for it. We need to find a Funeral home last minute and a close friend of the family referrer us to W H Bacon who they have use before. We got a hold of one of there representative by the name of Maria, she was helpful and was able to arrange everything for us, we were very satisfied. Unfourtanetly, the issues have arrive after we have made the payment, until now, we have not been able to get he's dead certificate finalize, I have been calling Maria and the funeral home's number (no one answer) for the past 2 weeks, have left numerus messages and still have not heard back from either maria or the funeral home. With out a dead certificate, we have not been able to finalize and closed he's accounts. If someone from the funeral home can please out back to me at [email protected] to help me finalize my father's dead it'll be very helpful.
