Robert G. Mason Funeral Home is located at 1661 Good Hope Road in South East Washington D.C. Situated just off highway 295, the funeral home has served African-American communities living in the metropolitan area of Washington for more than 30 years. The facility is within a 25-mile drive of several cemeteries.
Visitors are greeted by a solid, brown-brick building in neo-Georgian style. A white stucco portico with a small balcony on top leads to spacious interiors with visitation and private family seating area and chapel that can accommodate any size of funeral gathering.
Direct cremation, burial with graveside and cremation with memorial services are personalized, as every family can design the funeral service for their loved one according to their customs, needs and faith. Pre-planning and a wide choice of funeral merchandise are also part of overall services.
Founded in 1984, the funeral home is owned and operated by Todd Pilot, president, and a team of approximately 15 caring and highly professional staff who are all leaders in their chosen profession.
