Funeraria Latina at Speer and Federal Blvd. is located at the edge of Highland Park, close to Denver Aquarium; three cemeteries are within a 30 mile radius. The funeral home serves the needs of Denver metro's Latino community.
The lovely historic red-brick building houses elegant, modern reception rooms, including a kitchen for catered funeral receptions. The main chapel seats up to 225 guests, while a secondary chapel accommodates up to 110 guests. Traditional burial and cremation as well as direct cremation are provided by bilingual staff who can assist in both English and Spanish. A Subway and Starbucks restaurant are adjacent and there is ample onsite parking.
The funeral home was founded in 1998, originally starting in premises on 6601 E. Colfax Avenue, before moving to Federal Boulevard. Working with different churches in Denver's metro area, funeral director Lupe Alvarado and Family Service Manager Vicky Mora, Family Service Associate Valeria Licon and colleague Sammantha Ramirez focus on Latino culture and heritage to provide the traditional funerals local families are looking for.
