George L. Klumpp Chapel of Flowers on Riverside Boulevard serves Sacramento's Midtown community. The funeral home is near Freeway 5 and just across the street from Odd Fellow Lawn Cemetery, Masonic Lawn Cemetery and Sacramento Historic City Cemetery.
Offering parking for over 100 vehicles, the elegant white, cream and light-brown building makes a welcoming first impression. A bright and spacious chapel, viewing and visitation rooms can accommodate large and small funeral gatherings of all faiths, cultures and traditions.
George and Jane Klumpp founded the business in 1921 in a different location, relocating the funeral home in 1939 to 8th and O Streets. When they passed, the firm was purchased by former manager A. L. Barnard and Robert W. Oehler. In 1972 the funeral home relocated to its present location. Today, the business is owned and operated by the Diocese of Sacramento, offering traditional burial and cremation alongside direct cremation and burial as part of the overall funeral service.
Funeral director Michael James Ford is supported by embalmer and funeral director Buffy Radovich, crematory manager Christopher Mann and care center manager Jonathan Biller, who also works as licensed embalmer and funeral director, and administrative assistant Marcela Landeros.
