A. M. Gamby Funeral Home is located at 25001 Narbonne Avenue in Lomita. Serving Lomita, Torrance and West Carson communities, the mortuary nestles by the water and is the closest funeral home to Green Hills Memorial Park and Wilmington Cemetery. There are also many Catholic churches nearby.
The beautiful Spanish-colonial style building greets visitors with a gleaming white facade offset by bright red roof tiles. A well-appointed reception room seats up to 50 guests; all service rooms have traditional pews and 20-foot high ceilings. Flat screen TVs are found in several rooms to display video tributes and service information during and before funeral service. Staff members can assist South Bay Area communities in English, Spanish and Italian.
Established in 1936 by Albert Monroe Gamby and his wife Evabell, the funeral home was the very first mortuary in Lomita. In 2006, Jim Larkin bought the funeral home and funeral director Tim Lambert manages the business today.

I would say that if you need funeral services, you should use this mortuary. They do not pressure you to buy things you don't need, and even when we had last minute changes, the director helped us ship the body, last minute, to Des Moines. Our loved one arrived early, and dealing with Gamby was a satisfying and professional experience
