Adair Funeral Homes and Dodge Chapel are located at 1050 N. Dodge Boulevard in central Tucson, serving metropolitan Tucson's diverse communities. The funeral home is within a 30-mile radius of four cemeteries and also serves Pima County, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the Department of the Air Force.
Opened in 1956, Dodge Chapel is the Adair family's original location. With approximately 12,000 square feet, the building contains a spacious chapel seating up to 150 guests, plus overflow areas that can seat a further 100 – 150 people. Several comfortable slumber rooms provide families with privacy before funeral service begins. The facility contains an onsite crematory.
Founded in 1956 by Arthur J. and Martha J. Adair, this main location serves approximately 1,000 families each year. Two further locations, Avalon Chapel at 8090 N. Northern Avenue in Oro Valley and Carroon Mortuary in Nogales serve the wider Tucson area.
Still owned and operated by the Adair family, the three facilities are now managed by 2nd generation Harold (“Hank") R. Adair, the younger of Arthur and Martha's two sons. Veterans services and memorial care, direct cremation, cremation with memorial services and traditional burial are all offered from this location.
