Queen of Heaven Mortuary & Cemetery at 1562 E Baseline Road serve the Catholic communities of south-east Mesa and surrounding area. The funeral home and cemetery are one of two funeral homes in the Phoenix area owned and operated by the Catholic Church.
The brown brick, 10,000 sq ft facility contains comfortable, home-like family lounges and a modern chapel that can accommodate approximately 125 guests. Opened in 1978, cemetery, chapel and mortuary are located on the corner of Harris and Baseline Road in Mesa.
The ministry and diocese were established around 100 years ago. Today, a network of six cemeteries and mortuaries offers Arizona's Catholic families a wide choice of funeral service options, which include direct cremation and direct burial as well as traditional burial and cremation with full funeral service.
All of these locations have their own mausoleums, statuary and artwork, lovely gardens and peaceful park-like settings. Other locations include Phoenix, Avondale and Cottonwood. All of these facilities are dedicated to the service of the Catholic Church and are non-profit locations.
